I've just spent the last four days without one of my children. A was sixty miles away from the rest of the family. I was scared to death. I seriously don't know how I'm going to handle it when she gets older.

Where did she go? School trip? I sent my kids to CA to visit their cousins a few years ago for a full month...the first week was scary, but after that I tried to enjoy the quiet. Last summer's trip for the oldest to D.C. was cool for her and I handled it well too.
It gets easier. ;-)

you'll be okay. it will take a while, of course, but you'll be okay. or maybe you can stalk her--show up everywhere. she may not like that, but what does she know. ;)

@Jo, yep, school trip. She had an okay time. Not too sure with her. She has pre-teen moodies. One minute she's smiling and laughing about something that happened, then the next, "It wasn't that fun."

@ Cheryl, Somehow I know I'll survive, but the common sense hasn't reached my emotions. Shhh, don't tell her I'll be watching LOL. She is fairly well behaved compared to most so I hope I don't have to worry :)

Mood swings, my favorite...NOT! While we've been surviving full teen mode PMS here for 4 years, the little man is in that tween mood phase and is either laughing or crying. I'm a bit worried about middle school next year...he'll either transition with no problems or get beat up every other day!LOL
Good luck, it's not easy.
