I'm still sick :( so I apologize for the late chocolate post.
M still believes in the Easter Bunny. A is a little skeptical now, but the rule in our house is that if you don't believe then the entity disappears. She isn't willing to let go of all the stuff she gets from the Easter Bunny, tooth fairy, Santa, and the like. So B dutifully went out to get basket stuff. Among the treats were Cadbury Royal Dark Mini-Eggs.
Can we say yum?
They were so tasty the girls had to hide their basket on Sunday morning.

Last year the Easter Bunny went the way of the tooth fairy...the tooth fairy story went something like. Mom, the tooth fairy didn't stop to pick up my tooth...and I said..it's because she's out of money right now, I'll have to catch you later. ;-) The funny look crossed the boys face, to which I add...being a parent means remember lots of little details and it costs a lot of money.
A month later came Easter. My question...what do you want for Easter? The boy says...what do you mean? Mom says...the Easter Bunny is similar to the tooth fairy...do you want to help? A big grin appears and now the kids take turns making the family Easter Basket. The basket is much larger than individual ones and the child that helps gets to be creative and hide it too. This year was the daughter's turn. I got some cool pixie sticks which after we filled all the plastic eggs and sprinkled a generous portion of extras on top, we put the pixie sticks(green) upright like blades of grass. It turned out pretty cool.
And at our house, with Grandpa as Santa, that won't go the way of the Easter Bunny ever...heck even I still believe! ;-) You put on the suit, you become the MAN!
Hahaha! So funny! I needed the laugh. We'll have to see how it goes when A hits middle school.
The family basket sounds like fun :)
